Frequently Asked Questions on the Token
Dive into the following questions to clarify the design and the current stage of this token.
Why now? Why Tuugaaq?
Greenland is in the unique position to be one of the first countries to become independent in the age of crypto currencies. Tuugaaq intends to be a token that accompanies this historical development by being useful to this community under a name that reminds of the old barter system of Greenland.
Is this a rug-pull or a scam?
Short answer: No.
Long answer: no, this token has been designed to ensure long-term price stability and usage growth, with deflationary pressure. The revocation of Mint Authority and Freeze Authority ensures the token cannot be interfered with after deployment. Additionally airdropped tokens will come locked out for 6+ months. Funding team shares will be staked (and locked for 6-12 months) in liquidity pools.
Where can I buy Tuugaaq tokens?
Currently this token is in the Presales phase. This means that Tuugaaq is not yet present on Decentralized Exchanges (like Raydium, Jupiter, etc.) or Centralized Exchanges (like Binance, Kraken, etc.). But you can buy on plateforms dedicated to presales of crypto tokens. See the Buy page. In the future, the token will be exchangeable on DEX and CEX depending on the success of the pre-sales (some DEX/CEX require a minimum Market cap for listing tokens)
Why buy Tuugaaq?
The value locked in this token is stabilized by the tokenomics decision. Transaction fees fund staking rewards, and other monetary actions to promote long-term holding and stability of token value.
How can I buy the token?
You need a wallet that supports Solana tokens. See the Buy page, for links to wallets
What kind of token is Tuugaaq?
Tuugaaq is a Solana token (Token 2022 standard). It uses the Solana blockchain as a basis to perform transactions and can be stored in any wallet supporting the Solana blockchain tokens.
What's different between Tuugaaq and all other Solana tokens?
Tuugaaq implements a contract with a 5% transfer fee: a 3% transfer fees will be used to stabilize the currency (reward long-term holding users, burn tokens, etc) and a 2% treasury tax will fund development to improve the long-term value of Tuugaaq and increase the token intrinsic utility.
What's the future of Tuugaaq?
Tuugaaq is the first step in the creation of an ecosystem for sovereign communities. So Tuugaaq should be useful as a store of value but also as a token that funds the development of the Tuugaaq software ecosystem.
Frequently Asked Questions on our Vision
Dive into the following questions to clarify our vision of the Tuugaaq Ecosystem.
I'm not from Greenland. Why should I care?
Using Tuugaaq is not limited to citizens of Greenland or to the Greenland territory. The currency can be used by anyone, and the ecosystem of services made accessible by Tuugaaq can be useful for anyone.
Are the tools, projects and companies mentioned official partners to the Tuugaaq ecosystem?
No, these tools, projects and companies mentioned are parties that we intend to partner with, or projects that we intend to integrate in the ecosystem.
Do you intend to be completely disconnected from centralized social network and platforms?
No, we intend to be completely independent from these centralized platforms, and be able to function in complete autonomy. However, as a lot of people are present on these centralized platform, we intend to have unidirectional links to these platforms, where we can push content on centralized platforms, or attract users from these platforms, while promoting a more direct relation from Tuugaaq ecosystem to these users. We also want to provide a solution so registering and using Tuugaaq ecosystem is as easy, and more enjoyable to average users.
Do you intend Tuugaaq to be a paywalled service, similar to Patreon/SubStack/OnlyFans vs open platform Youtube (excluding YT memberships)/ Wordpress / Instagram?
No. The distinction is that the service will be decentralized, and won't rely on one centralized control (for currency and for services). So you may want your community to be open to any (free) users, and have a tip box to pay for server costs. You may want to have your community be paywalled (for exclusive communities, like commercial eLearning groups, etc)
Frequently Asked Questions on the Roadmap
Dive into the following questions to clarify the roadmap.
Do you have the ability to execute such a roadmap?
We believe we do. As we have experience with successful large-scale engineering projects.
Why are there so many software projects in your tech roadmap?
We plan to not reinvent the wheel. Instead we want to reuse existing opensource projects. Depending on community feedback, we may choose to push forward one project over the other. But it's faster to reuse than build from scratch.
